| A |
I came to Yokohama to do a practical training in the German school yokohama where i teached history and art lessons. |
Q |
How did you like your stay atHostel Shin-ei-kan and Hostel Hayashi-kaikan? |
| A |
I like both hostels, Hayashi-kaikan and shin-ei-kan. The first on is nearer to the hostel office, the second on has an elevator, so you dont have to use the stairs to go to the fifth floor. Both hostels belonging to hostel village and are costing the same price |
Q |
How is the quality of YHV? |
| A |
The qualities of YHV are: it is comparable cheap to stay there. The staff is very nice and helpfull, they will answer every question an help you with every kind of problems. Althougt there ist a party once per month, where travelers are invited. Sometimes the staff people are cooking or watching movies and you can join them. The hostels are next to chinatown, you can go to nearly every famous place in yokohama by feet from there. And it is not far to the next train- or subway-station.
The area where the hostels are is a very poor area, so i saw both sides of japan, not only the big hotels, shopping malls and louis vuitton shops
|
| Q |
Can you recommend YHV to other people and what of YHV would you appeal to others? |
| A |
Because of this reasons i can truely recommend YHV to all people, who wat to stay in yokohama. you will not regret it. |
| Q |
What do you like about Yokohama and Japan? |
| A |
It likea lot of different things about japan. It would take too much time to write it all down here. Jpana is a extremely interesting country. You can see beautiful nature sites, old shrines (especially in kyoto) as well as one of the biggest cities of the world. You have to vistit Himeji Castle and the golden Pagode in Kyoto, these things are perhaps the most beautiful things made by humen in the world. |
| Q |
Which spots do you like in Yokohama? Walking course. Places to eat |
| A |
* In Yokohama you have to go to the Landmarktower, the biggest skyscraper of japan. From the Top you have an amazing view over Yokohama and even can see Fuji-san. Of course you have to go to china-town, to the big shoppinmalls. There are a lot of parks in yokohama and a lot aof historical sites, with old western-style buildings built by the first western immigrants after the meiji-restauration. Then you have to spent a part of your time in Kotobuki-cho, the poor area around the hostel. You will feel save all the time, because the crime-rate is even in this poor areas very low. Ask the staff for cheap and good restaurants in Kotobuki-cho. In the big shopping-malls dinner is more expensive, but you can have all you could imagine, there are always about 20 restaurants next to each other. In the world-porters shopping center you can buy smashed ice-cream from singing sellers. If you want western food, you can have the best burgers in westbricks warehouse in an hawaian burgerrestaurant.
