Rake

We got the new rake from Kotohira-ootori shrine.
Do you know the origin of rake?
It was sold as an agricultural rake for the first time. However, one day, someone started to attach some meanings to the rake when they sold it. It means that "it will bring lucky in money", "it will bring happiness" and so on. Therefore, people decorated to put some garnishes like Seven Deities of Good Luck. Nowadays, these rakes are very poplar in Japan.
