I went to the "2024 Chinese New Year" in Yokohama Chinatown!

I visited the "2024 Chinese New Year" in Yokohama Chinatown!
As it was Chinese New Year, the area was crowded with many tourists and locals!
What particularly impressed me was the traditional lion dance "Zai Qing".
The lion dance is performed to pray for prosperous business and a good harvest. The lion dancers dance violently to gongs and drums, and firecrackers go off!
The sound of the firecrackers and drums mixed with the cheers of passersby made for a very powerful performance! It was very satisfying to experience the unique atmosphere of Chinese New Year!
