Guest from Malaysia！

Today we have a guest from Malaysia!
I asked him to tell us about the elective monarchy in Malaysia!

Did you all know that Malaysia has 9 kings?
There are 13 states in Malaysia, and each of the 9 states has a state king (sultan).

Every five years, one king is elected from those nine. The heads of each state participate in the election. However, although it is called an election, it seems to be a de facto rotating system!

I was told that this is a remnant from the days of the Malacca kings before the Portuguese took over!
